A recent essay of mine, “Otherwise the Same” (which appeared last year in the Poetry Foundation’s “Poets on Translation” series) has just been translated into Spanish and published in the new issue of a Colombian journal called La otra margen under the title: “Por lo demás, lo mismo.” (The issue’s theme, appropriately enough, is “Lo intraducible,” “the untranslatable”). To paraphrase Danny Hahn, “the new essay doesn’t have any of the same words as the old one, but I’m hoping it’s otherwise the same.”

Also: I love that they chose to illustrate the piece with Magritte’s “Trahison des images.”
