I just received my first copies of the Penguin edition of my translation of Andrea Bajani’s extraordinary new novel The Anniversary. Its official release date in the UK is July 2. The cover image is a detail from “Telephone,” a 2001 painting by Scott Kahn.

The American edition, which has a very different cover, is being published by Other Press and will be out on August 25.
