For any of you who may be in range of Oxford, I’ll be giving a talk/reading there on June 10 with the brilliant Nicola Gardini as part of this year’s Oxford Translation Day. (Link to register here.) Padma will be participating in a panel discussion the following day (details and link to register here.) The event culminates on June 11 with the award ceremony for the Oxford-Weidenfeld Translation Prize. Padma was shortlisted last year — though no ceremony because of Covid — and the shortlist this year includes such terrific translators as Daniel Hahn, Sasha Dugdale, Nancy Naomi Carlson, and others.
